Alma Video provides video documentation of the performance work of the divisions of Alma del Tango. In addition, Alma Video makes resources available for rehearsal recordings and archiving of instructional materials useful to dancers of Argentine Tango.
Alma Video also provides technical resources, equipment and training to individuals creating film or video projects related to the teaching or presentation of Argentine Tango dance. Alma Video receives its financial support from both gifts specifically designated for this purpose, equipment loans and pro-bono efforts of John Campbell and Peter Ivory.
Recordings of Live Performances
Live performance works include both archival footage (simple, unedited full-stage recordings) useful for production planning and for support of the dancers’ submissions for festivals, potential performances, grants, etc. The projects range from single camera shoots to 3-camera high-definition projects that include sound recording and editing as well as extensive post-production video editing and DVD authoring.
Examples include feature-length movies of Leading Ladies of Tango, Tango a Romantic Ritual (2008), and short submissions for web publication.
